Before you vote, remember -

11/04/2024

I still have faith in the American people. With this in mind, I implore you to remember some of the following before you vote:

"What, pray tell, has Kamala Harris accomplished in her years of public service? I do know that she led the charge to raise money to free rioters from jail during the George Floyd riots. I do know that she is an ardent Marxist, as was her father and mother. I do know that she believes fervently in no bail for non-violent crimes like robbing convenience stores or drug stores. I do know she is a staunch supporter of abortion at any stage of pregnancy. I do know that she arranged for funding for prisoners to have sex change operations at taxpayer expense. I do know that she was appointed Border Czar and has done absolutely nothing to reduce the flow of illegal aliens into our country. But what exactly has she done to help the average Joe Citizen here in America? If you know, please tell me because I and about 82 million voters would like to know."

Please remember these things as you vote in the most important election of our lifetimes. Vote as if your life and the lives of your children and grandchildren depended on it—because they do.

"If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare, and are the sole supreme judges of the general welfare, they may take care of religion into their own hands; they may appoint teachers in every State, county, and parish and pay them out of their public treasury; they may take into their own hands the education of children, establishing in like manner schools throughout the Union; they may assume provision of the poor; they may undertake the regulation of all roads other than post-roads; in short, everything, from the highest object of state legislation down to the most minute object of police would be thrown under the power of Congress to be established in the latitude contended for, it would subvert the very foundations and transmute the very nature of the limited Government established by the people of America."

James Madison/Founder of the Constitution and 4th President of the United States of America

James Madison's words were prescient some 240+ years ago. Today, we do not have limited government; we have centralized government with power vested in the President and legislature. That is never what was intended in the founding of our Republic, nor is it in our nation's interests to continue down this path. The reason: the government has become too big, too unwieldy, and with too much power vested in a few…a blueprint for disaster and failure and a feeding ground for corruption.

Alexis de Tocqueville reminded us that "all power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." To liberal democrats, I echo the words of Justice Antonin Scalia…" The Constitution says what it says and doesn't say what it doesn't say." It is not a living document subject to change or to adapt to circumstances depending on the whims of those in power. It is our guiding light for how we conduct ourselves because, in the final analysis, it is based on a study of the greatest minds in history, from Aristotle to John Locke. Its interpretation is the work of the Supreme Court of the United States and no one else, and their interpretations must be respected and followed under the three equal pillars of our government: the Legislative, the Executive, and the Judicial branches.

In recent times, we have strayed from this discipline, and when that happens, it falls upon the people to rectify the situation, to bring us back to the principles upon which our country was founded. An important element of these principles is that we are "One nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all."

It is then fitting and proper that as we head to the finish line in this election process to determine our country's future in a few short days, we pause to consider which path we will pursue. Will we follow the guideposts bequeathed by our Founding Fathers, or will we abandon these for a more radical, untested, and non-credible leadership, which is the antithesis of everything we hold dear?

I still have faith in the American people. With this in mind, I implore you to remember the following before you vote:

  • Remember our unnecessary, hasty retreat from Afghanistan, where we left $85 Billion in state-of-the-art weapons, aircraft, vehicles, tanks, APCs, uniforms, and night vision equipment to the Taliban. Worse yet, we left Americans and loyal Afghans behind. A stain on American honor presided over by President Biden and Kamala Harris. It was executed with the authority of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley…who now calls Donald J. Trump "Hitler" and a "Wannabe Dictator." Where was he when we were beating a retreat from Afghanistan so Joe Biden could have a photo op with the media? A disgrace.
  • Remember the brave 12 Marines and one Navy Corpsman who perished at Abbey Gate when a crazed lunatic terrorist exploded a suicide vest, killing them and many other Afghans as well. Remember our weak-kneed Commander-in-Chief, Joe Biden, on hand to welcome the remains of these brave souls at Joint Base Andrews as their bodies were escorted home, often glancing at his watch as if he had other, better things to do than this solemn exercise! Disgusting.
  • Remember the continual invasion of illegal immigrants into our nation and the clandestine flights organized by the Biden-Harris Administration bringing these people to cities across our land in the darkness of night. Thus far, the American people have had to absorb $154 Billion in costs spent by our government to house and provide medical care, food, and other expenses for over 15 million illegal aliens. Besides the sheer financial costs to the taxpayer, there are even greater costs like the impact on education and the threat posed by over 350 illegal aliens on the Terror Watch List from nations around the world that hate us. In essence, we have welcomed terrorists into our midst. Recall, it only took a handful of terrorists to give us 9-11!
  • Remember the lies of Joe Biden: "I have never spoken to my brother or Hunter about anything having to do with their business." This from a man who owns three mansions on the salary of a Senator and whose record of accomplishment over fifty years is virtually nothing. Remember the millions of dollars that came into the multiple offshore bank accounts for Hunter Biden and James Biden via several pay-for-play contributions to the Biden clan. We have yet to see a final accounting for these. Remember also how Biden claims to be a stalwart supporter of black Americans, yet his closest friend was Senator Robert Byrd, the former Grand Cyclops of the KKK. Wrap your arms around that one.
  • Remember the Chinese spy balloon flying uninterrupted across the United States, transmitting messages back to China, and Biden doing nothing about it until it reached miles off the coast of South Carolina, having traversed our country and accumulated all the intelligence it could gather.
  • Remember Biden and his Joint Chiefs trying to influence Ukranian forces dealing with the unilateral invasion by Russia, dictating what targets and American military resources they can use against Russia? I seem to recall Robert McNamara doing the same thing in a little-known country called Vietnam some fifty-five years ago. It didn't work back then, either.
  • Remember Biden-Harris undercutting Israel in its war against the Houthi Rebels, Hamas and Hezbollah. Their demands for a cease-fire at all costs borders on the absurd, especially when Israel is trying once and for all to eradicate the threat to its very existence. Israeli victories over Hezbollah, Hamas, and Iran are welcomed by the Arab world, who know that Iran is the singular source of all terror in the Middle East. But Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are fundamentally weak and incompetent regarding international affairs. Indeed, former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates wrote in his book, "Joe Biden has been wrong on every foreign policy issue over the last forty years." What makes anyone think that Kamala Harris will be any better?
  • Remember Kamala Harris declaring her support for a "two-state solution" to the conflict between Hamas, Hezbollah, and Israel. There can be no. two-state solution. Not when your enemy vows to wipe the Jewish state off the face of the map and kill all Jews with their morning prayers!
  • Remember Kamala Harris loudly proclaiming that "Bidenomics is working!!" in the face of spiraling inflation and grocery costs reaching highs never before seen in our country. Americans struggle to put bread on the table for their families, and Biden and Harris have yet to devise a concrete plan to address this kitchen table concern. Gasoline is up 60%, eggs are up 38%, milk is up 32%, meat is up nearly 40%...and the list goes on. Some estimates peg the cost to the average American family to be roughly $5,700 more per year in costs.
  • Remember Kamala Harris calling Donald J. Trump a fascist! She has the audacity to accuse the 45th President of the United States of being a fascist. Did Trump ever act like a fascist when he was President? Has she forgotten that Trump never accepted a penny in salary for the four years he served our nation, donating his entire salary of $1.6 million to charity? Has she and her lying running mate Tim Walz ever heard of the many people Trump has helped, like sending his plane to Los Angeles to fly a 5-year-old boy to NY for treatment for a blood disorder, never once promoting it or talking about it? Trust me when I tell you there are many, many others like it! I know because I know Trump personally! He is a good man, extremely intelligent and very caring, and he enjoys helping others.
  • Can anyone reading this essay explain the substance of Kamala Harris' 'Opportunity Economy"? I want to know what she intends to do to create this wonderful, joyful world. Specifically, I'd like to know about her detailed programs and plans. I know about her intent to grant $25,000 to help first-time home buyers and $50,000 in direct tax write-offs for those who start small businesses. How will these be administered….with another level of bureaucracy…another government program? You do know what a government program is, don't you? It is the closest thing we have to eternal life in America. They never seem to end and never go away! Both programs are doomed to failure because they ignore fundamental laws of economics: if you grant $25,000 to home buyers, there is a great chance the home price will increase by $25,000. People starting new businesses need up-front capital, not tax breaks, which they can only use to reduce taxes once they make money. Kamala Harris is showing her naivete when she speaks about such business issues.
  • What, pray tell, has Kamala Harris accomplished in her years of public service? If you know, please tell me because I and about 82 million voters would like to know.
  • Finally, remember this: Democrats first stood in the way of everything President Trump tried to do while in office. They lied about him being a Russian Agent. They spied on his Presidential campaign and then continued to spy on him while he was in office. They impeached him…twice…failing miserably on both occasions. As soon as he announced his candidacy to run for the Presidency again, they orchestrated federal and state charges against him based on lies in an attempt to bankrupt him and put him in federal prison. Most recently, they tried to kill him in two assassination attempts. But he is still standing and fighting. His stamina and toughness display the characteristics we admire in true leaders. At Madison Square Garden this week, he pledged that "America would no longer be an occupied nation," and perhaps, more succinctly, he artfully exclaimed…"Biden and Harris tried to break our nation; I will fix it." I believe him.

In addition to advanced degrees in Business and Finance, I also have a degree in History. So, allow me to give you some perspective on important lessons I have learned from my readings. One is from my favorite French political thinker and historian, Alexis de Tocqueville, in his book Democracy in America: "Democracy and Socialism have nothing in common except for one word: equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude"

Another comes from perhaps the smartest man ever to occupy the White House, Thomas Jefferson: "The Republic will cease to exists when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who will not."

Still another comes from Baron de Montesquieu who said: "The deterioration of every government begins with the decay of the principles on which it was founded"

Finally, and perhaps the most prescient, may be found from the writings of Ayn Rand: "Whoever claims the right to redistribute the wealth produced by others is claiming the right to treat human beings as chattel."

I mention these quotations because they succinctly call out the environment in which we find ourselves. Beginning with Barack Hussein Obama, who advocated for the redistribution of wealth, democratic politicians have blindly followed this exhortation as if it were some kind of guidance from on high. It is not. It is a blueprint for failure and economic unrest.

Please remember these things as you vote in the most important election of our lifetimes. Vote as if your life and the lives of your children and grandchildren depended on it—because they do.
